View of the chancel screen and pulpit painted in medieval patterns and colours

The chancel and sanctuary. The figure of Christ in the centre of the reredos is of alabaster and white marble. The twelve figures at the back represent the twelve tribes of Israel, the twelve in front are the Apostles

From the doorway there is a fine view of the nave with its Norman pillars

The Saxon font, one of the oldest features, contains a cockle-shell fossil in the stone.
