Our Link Parish

St Peter's Ganyesa

St Andrews Clewer has a Link Parish in South Africa, St Peter Ganyesa. To get an idea of scale, the Parish is roughly the same size as the Diocese of Oxford, and has eleven Daughter Churches. There is one priest who looks after all twelve churches! His name is Father Thebeethata, known as Father T. He has around twenty Lay Ministers to assist him.

For the last few years, all of our Overseas Giving has been to this Parish. It has enabled them to do the following:

Purchase a four wheel drive vehicle
Purchase a Computer for Father T
Install a phone line in the Rectory, for Internet and email access
Roof three Churches which were being rebuilt

The photographs on these pages were taken by David Dufour in November 2002 and November 2003, and so the work needed to finish the work on the churches has been completed by now.
